I shot most of those with a Fujifilm FinePix S9000 – paid something like $350 for it online (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/fuji/finepix_s9000-review/). Just upgraded to an Olympus E-600, a proper D-SLR (http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1477). Got it refurbished for $450. So: not a super-expensive camera.

When I first moved here, I found the section in the downtown library with all the Colorado books – guides to different regions, wilderness areas, etc. Read through all of them and just started day-tripping. Very few of the trips are overnight.
